Recently we were working on a project involving wordpress and a membership site. For the site the client was looking for a way to register users but wanted them to be able to have custom capabilities for the actions they wanted their users to take. They want a new users to have the ability of an author on their website but still wanted to limit the permissions of an author. On March 11 at 2:46pm JST a massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake occurred near the northeastern coast of Japan, creating extremely destructive tsunami waves which hit Japan just minutes after the earthquake, and triggering evacuations and warnings across the Pacific Ocean. The earthquake and tsunami have caused extensive and severe damage in Northeastern Japan, leaving thousands of people confirmed dead, injured or missing, and millions more affected by lack of electricity, water and transportation. As WordPress begins to become more and more popular, sites that use WordPress can also be targeted for security flaws. In order to ensure that you are proactive and protect your site there are a number of plugins that help increase security. This plugin is called WordPress File Monitor.
